Oprah Winfrey Hair

I saw that Oprah Winfrey was catching a little attention on Twitter and decided to see what the buzz was about. Apparently, Oprah did an episode on her hair and on her website I took a snap shot of what her hair use to look like many years ago. Probably from the 70's.

Christine Senter Offers Amazing Writing Prompts

Sometimes it's hard to get things flowing on paper. Meaning, there are times when I absolutely don't have anything to write about. This is a scary feeling, because writing is how I get paid. If I don't write, then my bills don't get paid. One thing that I did last night was ask for help. Although, not many people came to the rescue, one person did and I owe her a big thank you. Her name is Christine Senter. She's been an online friend of mine for a long time. She gave me a few ideas that will help me along the way. These ideas were all writing prompts that can be used for future articles. That said, I hope to be back on my way to writing amazing content again which helps my readers and continues to help me get paid.

Working At Geek Squad vs Working At RadioShack

I have been hired at both Geek Squad and RadioShack and I am not sure which job I should take. Perhaps someone out in the cyber world may have an opinion or two regarding either company. Since the first time I heard of Geek Squad a few years ago, I thought the company was pretty cool. Now of course, I have been shopping at RadioShack since I was a kid, so they have quite a bit of history with me. Anyway, I am very much more in favor to take the job at Geek Squad, although at RadioShack, they may want to put me in the MIT (manager in training) program. Share your thoughts.

How To Create a Paypal Subscription

Log into your Paypal.com account and click merchant services tab and then click on the "Subscribe" option mid page down. In the drop down menu, select "Subscriptions and recurring billing." Enter an item name such as, "Monthly Website Checkup Service."

The options below allow you to choose the amount of money you want to charge for the subscription service and how often you'd like to bill your customers. On the final page, you will be given a special HTML code to use on your site which produces a very nice payment button. Also, a special link will be generated that can be used for including in emails.

Is WordPress Better Than Blogger?

For the last few years I use to think that WordPress was better than Blogger. And, to be honest, during the last few years, maybe so. But, things have changed. Or, more so, my opinions have. Rest assured, I'll explain why I no longer feel WordPress is better than Blogger. And also, I'll explain why I use to feel this way.

Firstly, let me explain to you why I enjoyed WordPress so much a few years ago, more so than blogger. With WordPress, I could maintain and operate a very versatile blog using my own domain. All that was needed was for me to purchase the domain name and purchase web hosting. From there, I could download and install WordPress on my server at no charge. Later on, most web hosting companies that used cPanel offered an auto WordPress install feature.

During the same period, Blogger was also available for domain names. Same situation as WordPress. Users were required to purchase a domain name and web hosting. From there, with a few minor tweaks, Blogger would point to your domain hosting account, writing flat HTML files to your server.

So far things seemed evenly matched, right? Yes! Very true, but they weren't. WordPress had some leading edges that I'll explain. WordPress, though more advanced for most users, was able to be customized and tweaked greatly. For me, one of the most appealing factors in WordPress customization was it's ability to be tweaked for SEO. However, Blogger too was able to be customized as well; but the process of tweaking didn't come as natural or flow as freely. All in all, WordPress was by far the preferred platform for me.

But, that was then, and this is now. Further, I'll explain why I have flipped and now prefer using Blogger over WordPress. To make a long story short, I can say it's because Blogger is simple and SEO has changed. The process of optimizing a site for search engines is greatly different than it once was just a few years ago. That fact alone, coupled with the amazing simplicity of Blogger's platform, makes things look very appealing to me.

One additional aspect that I must share is something quite large, This last element is what made me take the final push towards migrating my existing work and creating future work on Blogger. Blogger now offers free domain hosting. Simply purchase the domain name and Blogger will host your domain name at no charge. In fact, if you purchase the domain name using their service, the domain name will be automatically configured, thus saving you a lot of work and time.

The last element is the fact that Blogger has very clean and well coded templates, coupled with the automatic ability to use Google AdSense ad units. And the very last element is the ever changing SEO, which I will cover in a future post, so stay tuned. All in all, if you want my final opinion on the matter, when it comes to mass building high quality niche blogs, Blogger is better than WordPress. Simply because they are very cheap to build, easy to maintain, and search engine friendly according to modern SEO standards.

FarmVille Seed Profit Chart

When I first started playing FarmVille on FaceBook, I wanted to figure out which seeds would produce the most profit. At first I thought that seeds that generated the most coins yielded the most profit. But, I quickly realized that I was mistaken. The way to look at profit is to determine the amount each square on your board can earn per hour. To learn how, be sure to check out these FarmVille Secrets.

For example. Even though strawberries earns 10 coins compared to eggplants, which earn 48 coins, strawberries are more profitable because they only take four hours to harvest, where eggplants take 48 hours. In other words, strawberries practically earn the same as eggplants in only 16 hours.

I know that all this may still be confusing for you, that is perfectly understandable. That said, I created this chart below to help you with purchasing the most profitable seeds. The column on the far right is called Coins Per Hour. The higher the number the more profitable the seeds are.

Keep in mind that there are times when it's not ideal to purchase seeds that yield the most profit. For example. If you're going to be at work for 10 hours, it might not be a good idea to purchase seeds that harvest in four hours. It would be a better idea to purchase seeds that harvest in ten hours or twelve.

Another thing to consider is that most of the more profitable seeds earn a lower amount of experience points. That seems to be the trade off. Also, another trade off is that most of these seeds harvest quick, meaning you'll have to stay glued constantly to your computer.  Once again, use the chart below towards aiding you in making the best seed purchasing decisions in FarmVille. If you should have any questions, feel free to post a comment and I'll do my best to answer.

Chuck E. Cheese To The Rescue

Dana and I took Garry III, Jaymie, and Kasey to Chuck E. Cheese today. Often I say "Chuck E. Cheese To The Rescue" because it's a place that we can take the kids to buy some time. In other words, for $40 we can get a large pizza, four drinks, and 100 tokens to play games, which is all that's needed to keep the kids busy for a couple of hours. In fact, we get a bonus 30 minutes when the kids redeem their tickets for credit and look for items to purchase at the gift booth.

Chuck E. Cheese doesn't have free or paid WIFI, I think it would be great if they did, but I am fortunate that I have my iPhone. If I was able to bring my laptop and connect to WIFI, I think Chuck E. Cheese would be an almost perfect place to hang out with the kids. We can all eat and drink and the kids can all play while I work or enjoy passing some time surfing the web.

Where are some cool places you take your kids? I'd like to know of some places similar to Chuck E. Cheese both with free WIFI. Drop a comment and share your thoughts.
